Carnival Open Fours 2019
This year’s mixed carnival, open fours, was held on the 2nd and 3rd of March.
The weather was perfect for bowls and the greens were running well.
There were 14 new teams this year. The remarks we received were very encouraging and we would be surprised if any of the teams do not return next year.
Our facilities are improving, and we need to continue to increase our efforts to ensure the maximum support from visiting teams.
There were 3 teams who were un-defeated in all games played.
The winning team from Hall’s Head, led by our life member, Bob Plater, was a back to back victory. Well done to Bob and his team.
Lionel Bell’s team from Osborne park came second.
Third were the “Twins” also from Osborne Park. They only lost their first game. Not enough champagne according to Shaan and Amanda.
